The threeTIX server

ThreeTIX, the free Track Info Xchange is the first non-commercial data provider for the "Deluxe CD Player" and "Windows 2000 CD Player".

What is threeTIX not?

Similar to my former project, the CdPlayer.INI page this site stores and publishes info about the tracks on CD audio. In other words, threeTIX offers information about artist and title of a CD and the names of the songs.

This is no exchange service of data from the media. You won't find any MP3 or WAV files here and never will. Please respect that I can't give you information about where to sell any CD. I don't have the very most of them.

ThreeTIX is not CDDB or freeDB compatible and doesn't intend to be. See articles #5 #6 for more.

DeluxeCD servers

Today there are two working DeluxeCD servers known:

• Urchin at www.urchin.nl
• threeTIX

The "classical" DeluxeCD servers were at www.tunes.com and mscd.musicblvd.com. I say "were" because since about April 2001, mscd.musicblvd.com does no longer exists and www.tunes.com only responds with blank pages without data.

What is Deluxe CD Player, anyway?

"Deluxe CD Player" is a CD player program from Microsoft. Meanwhile, it's also known as "Windows 2000 CD player".
